information on the piece itself, recordings, instrumentation, .pdf examples,
lyrics and press reactions (if any!).
Samples of most pieces can be downloaded as .pdf files; scores and
parts can be ordered and bought- to be sent either by post on old-fashioned
paper, by post on a cd (pdf files) or by e-mail as complete .pdf files
to print out yourself (which is of course cheaper... and an awful lot quicker)

Some pages are still under construction (usually because the score hasn't
been fed into Finale yet), but please get in touch if you're interested...
Pieces for concert bigband
These were all written for the UWO line-up, but most are also arranged
for a "normal" bigband, several have even more versions. Relevant details
are included on each page, and I'm always willing to supply re-arrangements
(the blessings of Finale software!) for more unusual instrumentations.

| 1994 "A Sting in the Tale" started life
as a bigband piece, now in several versions. |
1997 "Self-Portrait". Another song
arranged in several ways- this one definitely has a life of its own. |
| 1998 "The Death of Pan" for mixed choir
with optional percussion. A fusion of Greek rebetika and jazz. |
2000 "Starfire" for a-capella
voices (SS.AA) A slightly swinging ode to the night sky, somewhere high
in the mountains. |
| 2000 "Time's Mirror"
for mixed choir and orchestra. A piece celebrating the unavoidable millenium. |
2001 "Roadsong" for mixed choir. |
| 2002 "What are words?" for
solo soprano and piano. |
2003 "Cirkels in de Tijd"
for children's choir and piano. Dutch lyrics! - and webpage in Dutch. A
cycle of 11 songs, based on the children's book "De Ziel van Putter" by
Pauline van de Ven. |
| 2004 "Quintessentials" for mixed
choir. A celebration of music, written for the chamber choir "Quintessens"
for their 20th anniversary. |
