Music for brass ensemble

Corners

for 4 horns and tuba.

I wrote this in 1999 for Janni Struzyk, who plays tuba in the United Women's Orchestra. She plays a lot more, of course, and one of her other projects was her Horn/Tuba Kwintett Berlin.

The piece is a tuba-feature and has 3 parts which flow into each other.
Length: approx. 7'20"
Information about ordering the music can be found on the "contact" page- see link above.

Included here are 2 pdf samples from the score and a midi-file (mp3) of the 3rd movement.

Because horn/tuba quintets are fairly rare, I've also re-arranged the piece for saxophone quintet (s.a.a.t.b), so the same extracts can be viewed here as pdf's.

Five plus One

for brass sextet

"Five plus One" is included on this page because it's also a re-arrangement of "Corners". Since it's for 6 instruments (piccolo trumpet, trumpet, flugelhorn, horn, trombone and tuba) you could call it a rewrite~ hence the new title.
Here again, are 2 extracts from the score:
