A short CV..

Master's degree in history, Germanistics and musicology in Freiburg and Cologne. Studied composition, arranging and jazzharmony with Joachim Ulrich of the Musikhochschule in Cologne and with Siegfried Koept.
Since1985 saxophonist, clarinetist und composer with various ensembles, active in New Music, multimedia Performance, improvised music and Avantgarde jazz.
Was given composition commissions for theatre- and filmmusic, literature exhibitions, radio-, TV- and CD productions.
Involved with The United Women's Orchestra since1993 as founder and co-leader.
1995: was awarded a grant for "Jazz & Literatur" NRW.
1997 Workshops in Canada at the "Banff Centre for the Arts"
1998/99 Participant of the international Big Band Festival in Vancouver as composer/instrumentalist (with Hugh Fraser, Slide Hampton, Graham Collier, Phil Nimmons)
1999 Was awarded a grant for the BMI Composer's Program in New York.
2003 Fellow at Music Omi in New York
2004 Fellow in Nairs/Scuol, Art in Engadina Bassa, Switserland
2005 Compositioncommission/project-leader for the NDR Big Band, Hamburg
2007 Fellow at the Künstlerhaus Lukas, Ahrenshoop/Ostsee

Lives and works freelance in Cologne since 1987.
